22 Weeks Pregnant
At 22 weeks pregnant, your baby is the size of a grapefruit. They’re growing faint eyebrows and eyelashes.
A common symptom at 22 weeks is Braxton Hicks contractions. These are a squeezing sensation similar to a labor contraction. But Braxton Hicks aren’t as strong, and they go away. If you were in labor, they wouldn’t stop! You may also be having trouble sleeping due to the baby moving, aches and pains, or even stress.
It’s okay if you’re worried about giving birth. But you may feel more confident if you know exactly what to expect. Ask your provider if there are any local childbirth classes they recommend. There may even be some offered at your hospital or birthing center.
Keep seeing your provider for prenatal visits about once every four weeks.
