5 Weeks Pregnant
At 5 weeks pregnant, you probably just found out you’re expecting. Your baby is very tiny, just the size of an apple seed! But development of the neural tube has begun—that’s the basis of the brain.
You may still be getting used to the idea of being pregnant. Symptoms like fatigue, sore breasts, and nausea may begin. Now is the time to stop smoking, drinking alcohol, or using any drugs that you haven’t been prescribed. If you do take medication, ask your doctor if it’s safe to keep taking.
It’s important to find a doctor or midwife to provide your prenatal care. They might not see you right away, but make the first appointment now. This is just the beginning!
