What Causes Pustular Psoriasis on the Hands and Feet?

Palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP) is a rare, recurrent inflammatory disorder in which pustular psoriasis appears on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Although the exact cause of PPP is unknown, researchers believe that genetics may play a role for people who have a family history of the disorder. In this video, Ph.D. student Thanos Niaouris explains his research into the genetic causes of this kind of psoriasis.
