Fallopian tubes are the organs that connect to your uterus and help transport eggs from the ovaries. Ovaries are where human eggs are produced and stored.

During the ovulation phase of your menstrual cycle, an egg passes from one of the ovaries into the pelvic cavity and is then picked up by the fallopian tube. There, it can become fertilized by sperm. If it’s fertilized, it can move into the uterus, where the fertilized egg implants to grow and develop into a fetus.
