Get a Case Manager
Many health insurance plans have case management programs. A case manager is a health professional, like a nurse or a social worker. Their job is to communicate with you to understand your needs and to support you during pregnancy and after you give birth.
A case manager can be a valuable member of your support team as you handle concerns such as a high risk pregnancy, a newborn with medical issues, financial needs, and more.
You can ask to speak to a case manager at any time. Just call the member services phone number on your health insurance ID card.
You may be asked to answer questions about your pregnancy and/or birth. Based on the information you provide, they'll determine if you’re eligible for this service.
A case manager can help personalize your care and optimize your health and well‑being.
