What Exactly Is Circadian Rhythm?

The circadian rhythm is the body’s sleep-wake cycle. Your circadian rhythm includes the changes in your body and behavior that happen in a 24-hour period to help keep you alert or signal that it's time to get sleepy.

Keeping your circadian rhythm in sync, as best you can, is important for your physical and mental health. For example, try keeping a regular schedule for going to bed and waking up, and avoid blue light devices at bedtime, which can disrupt sleep.
