16 Weeks Pregnant
At 16 weeks pregnant, your baby is the size of an avocado. Fun fact: The skin is see-through. It will get more pigment in the third trimester.
Your early symptoms may be easing. But you may have some new ones, like round ligament pain. That’s aches and pains that happen as your baby grows and your belly stretches.
You’re probably still seeing your doctor or midwife about once per month. Some prenatal tests may happen around this time too. This includes a blood test (called the maternal blood screen or quad screen) and amniocentesis, which is optional.
