A Reminder to Reach Out to Others
Feelings of loneliness can come from being socially isolated. This could be a result of not having many friends or family members to talk to or of feeling disconnected or distant even when you’re surrounded by others.
The data from the Gallup Global Emotions Report shows us that loneliness is common and experienced quite intensely by many people. What does this mean for you? Reach out. Whether you know it or not, people around you may be experiencing similar feelings of loneliness as you. Taking a moment to check in with another person over the phone or in person and asking them how they’re doing can help you both feel appreciated, valued, and like you belong. And that’s what we’re all craving.
